Is it all about transitioning the product development teams and methods to follow the agile values and disciplines or is there more to this new trend?
In this HBR article of May 2018 (https://hbr.org/2018/05/agile-at-scale) and Steve Denning’s (Forbes Contributing Author) prologue below (https://www.forbes.com/sites/stevedenning/2018/05/07/hbr-embraces-agile-at-scale-rethinking-how-we-live-and-work/#5108eb4cdd57), there is an excellent elaboration of the “Agile Mindset” and how it is different than traditional management, and why companies as large as GE are struggling to make the transition even though they have started their intent and journey to become agile 5-7 years ago.
We find truth in many of the author’s observations regarding the new nature of competition, and why only companies with an unrelenting focus on “Customer Value” can survive the next phase of the information economy.
This further reinforces AgiLeanIt’s approach to develop/document the business strategy and identify the Value Streams through Lean and Business Model / Value Proposition Canvas.
Hope you find both articles useful.
